Safe for your guests
Invitation links are a favourite trick of scammers in Malaysia. Here’s how we keep yours trustworthy.
- Cards are checked
Cards that mention loans, crypto, “lucky draws” or bank log-ins wait for a person at Ciel to check them before anyone can open them.
- Bank details are checked too
Gift and DuitNow details only show after Ciel has looked at them, and hide again if they’re changed.
- No downloads, no strange links
Cards can’t link to other websites or ask guests to install anything. Maps go only to Google Maps or Waze.
- Anyone can report a card
Every card has a report link. Pages reported as scams by several people come down straight away.
- Replies stay private
Only the host sees who replied. Replies, wishes and photos are deleted 90 days after the event.
Questions
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. The card opens in any phone browser, and guests reply with just their name.
Can I change the card after sending it?
Yes. Edit it any time and the same link shows the new version. If you change the link itself, the old one stops working.
How do I pay for premium?
Transfer by DuitNow or bank transfer, then send us the reference from your dashboard. Ciel confirms it, usually the same day, and your card upgrades straight away.
Can I write it in Bahasa Melayu?
Yes. Choose Bahasa Melayu and the buttons and labels guests see switch over too.
Who can see the replies?
Only you, signed in with your email. Ciel staff only look at a card if it’s reported or needs a check.
